Legacy Handmade Furniture: Crafting a Modern Vietnamese Haven in Bavi Legacy Handmade Furniture team was commissioned to transform a two-story countryside home in Bavi, Vietnam, into a contemporary oasis that celebrated both traditional Vietnamese elements and modern aesthetics. The house, bathed in natural light, offered a blank canvas for our designers to create a harmonious blend of styles. The client's request was clear: to infuse each room with modern furniture that subtly incorporated Vietnamese cultural influences. Entrance: A Modern Gateway to Tradition The entranceway, previously defined by a built-in piece of furniture, was completely redesigned to align with the client's vision. To evoke the timeless elegance of Vietnamese craftsmanship, we selected dark walnut wood from South America. The subtle colour palette of earthy tones and natural materials creates a serene and inviting atmosphere. Tearoom: A Timeless Vietnamese Retreat The tearoom, a tranquil haven for relaxation and contemplation, features "Nha Que" armchairs crafted from Vietnamese Ironwood. These iconic pieces of antique furniture, commonly found in the countryside, exude a timeless elegance. The doors and walls of the tearoom are made of imported walnut wood, adding a warm and inviting touch to the space. Pops of colour are introduced with a few traditional lacquer handmade poufs and Wedding Cabinet Bronze Locks, adding a touch of contemporary flair to the classic design. Living Room: A Modern Fusion of Tradition and Contemporary Design The living room is a spacious and open area designed for both relaxation and entertaining. Modern furniture with clean lines is complemented by a unique collection of handmade bronze items, including vases, intricate candle holders, and gongs. These traditional Vietnamese artifacts add a touch of cultural richness to the contemporary space, creating a visually stunning and thought-provoking atmosphere. A large window offered stunning views of the surrounding landscape. Dining Room & Kitchen: A Modern Industrial Haven with Vietnamese Flair The baking room is a functional and stylish space designed for culinary enthusiasts. Featuring a modern industrial aesthetic with black-painted metal elements, the room exudes a contemporary and edgy vibe. The Vietnamese touch is introduced through the use of dark walnut wood for cabinetry and counter tops, creating a warm and inviting contrast. Office Room: A Modern Workspace with efficient storage units The office room is a private and focused workspace designed to enhance productivity and comfort. The minimalist aesthetic is complemented by a variety of shelves and storage units, providing ample space for documents, papers, books, and decorative items. A comfortable corner bench, upholstered in colourful cushions, offers a cosy spot for reading or taking a break. Master Bedroom: A Luxurious Retreat with Vietnamese Charm The master bedroom is a luxurious sanctuary featuring a king-size bed with plush bedding. The bed frame is crafted from walnut wood and incorporates our signature wave line design, a nod to the undulating beauty of Vietnamese landscapes. An en-suite bathroom with a dressing room provides added convenience and luxury. A beautifully designed dressing table offers ample space for jewellery and personal belongings. To complete the serene ambiance, bamboo Sapa lamps, crafted from walnut wood, illuminate the room with a warm and inviting glow. Teenager's Room: A Modern Oasis for Self-Expression The teenager's room is a stylish and contemporary space designed to reflect the occupant's unique personality. Bold colours, graphic patterns, and modern furniture create a vibrant and energetic atmosphere. The room features ample storage space for clothing and accessories, allowing the teenager to stay organised and express their individuality. A comfortable study area provides a dedicated space for homework and creative pursuits. Children's Rooms: Playful and Imaginative Spaces The two children's rooms are designed with playful and whimsical themes to spark creativity and imagination. Bright colours, fun decor, and comfortable furnishings create a stimulating environment for young minds. The rooms feature built-in storage solutions to keep toys and belongings organised. A cosy reading nook, adorned with colourful traditional lacquer pieces like poufs and side lamps, provides a quiet space for children to explore the world of books while maintaining a sense of Vietnamese identity.
