Paolo & Chi restaurant in Tay Ho - Interior Design

Legacy Handmade Furniture was commissioned to transform a two-storey residence into the Italian restaurant, Paolo & Chi. The design brief sought to create a warm, inviting atmosphere that complemented the authentic flavours of Italian cuisine. Exterior Enhancements: The exterior was revitalised with a brick façade and a new white metal gate, exuding a sense of elegance. An open metal roof structure, adorned with climbing greenery, introduced a natural element to the entrance. First Floor Dining Room: The first floor dining room was conceived to evoke a cosy, intimate atmosphere. Low-siting armchairs and sofas, paired with warm-toned ash wood tables, harmonised with the brick arches and a vibrant colour palette of red, deep green, and yellow. Bar Counter: A custom-crafted bar counter, inspired by the traditional Vietnamese shutters, served as the centrepiece of the room. Its modern yet warm design featured a glass hanger made of ash wood with a light-stained finish. Liquor Cabinet: A meticulously designed liquor cabinet, constructed from ash wood with an antique finish, complemented the entrance sliding door. Its arched shape and glass doors showcased approximately 25-30 bottles, while a top storage area provided additional functionality. Second Floor Dining Room: The second floor dining room was designed to prioritise comfort and functionality. Classic-height tables, comfortable dining chairs, and benches created a welcoming space. Four seating areas within arches added a touch of intimacy, making the room suitable for private events or gatherings. In conclusion, Legacy Handmade Furniture successfully transformed the residence into a stylish and inviting Italian restaurant, Paolo & Chi. The interior design elements seamlessly integrated modern aesthetics with traditional charm, resulting in a memorable dining experience.
