Introducing a bespoke vinyl cabinet, meticulously crafted by Legacy Handmade Furniture, designed to perfectly house and showcase a treasured record collection and audio setup. This commission was driven by a client’s desire for a compact yet functional piece to accommodate their turntable, speakers, and vinyl records. Taking inspiration from the distinctive aesthetic of the 1970s, we incorporated retro design elements throughout the cabinet. The legs and door mechanism evoke the era's characteristic style, adding a touch of vintage charm. The client also admired the circular line motif from our existing furniture collection, which we incorporated as a striking cut-out pattern on the front door, creating visual interest and depth. To further enhance the design, we integrated subtle Asian-inspired CNC detailing into the corners supporting the cabinet's top. These intricate patterns, reminiscent of traditional symbols of longevity, family, and prosperity, add a unique cultural touch and a sense of timeless elegance. The client requested a glass top to protect the wooden surface and provide a platform for displaying cherished record sleeves, turning the cabinet into a showcase for both music and art. Constructed from rich, imported South American walnut, this cabinet is not only a functional storage solution but also a statement piece, blending vintage inspiration with contemporary craftsmanship.
